Miley Cyrus To Star In Film By ‘Notebook’ Author

Miley Cyrus is hoping to transition from ‘tween star to young adult star — and she’s looking to former-teen star Mandy Moore for a little inspiration.

Miley will headline an as-yet-untitled film which is being written especially for the ‘tween mega-star by “The Notebook” author Nicholas Sparks, Variety reports.

2008 MTV VMA’s: Miley and Katy - Play it Now

During a meeting with Disney, Miley mentioned 2002’s “A Walk To Remember” with Mandy Moore as the type of film she hoped to do, producer Jennifer Gibgot told the entertainment trade mag,

Sparks, who penned the novel that the Mandy movie is based on, is writing the untitled novel, while simultaneously working on the screenplay for Miley. Sparks also brought “The Notebook” to the big screen in 2003, starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling.

The plot of the new novel and movie are being kept under wraps, but Sparks reportedly pitched an idea that Miley and her family are excited about.

Miley will reportedly be leaving the singing behind in her upcoming film and focus on the acting.

A release date for the film has not been determined, but Sparks said the book will be published in fall 2009.

Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers Are Not Rock & Roll

Nikki Sixx recently told Rolling Stone, “Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers are not Rock & Roll.”

“There’s things that I see where I go, ‘Rock Star energy drink? Give a fucking break,’” Sixx says. “There’s no rock stars involved in this. There’s a lot of shit out there where people are calling it ‘rock.’ I went into Barnes & Noble the other day, and there’s a huge display that says ‘rock & roll,’ and it had a big thing of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. I went, ‘What the fuck is this?’ People are believing that shit that is not rock & roll, is not the rock lifestyle, is rock.”

VMAs

Miley looked amazing tonight at the VMAs, and she was amazing aswell. I want to give everyone who voted at least 50 times for her for Best New Artist. She really did deserve to win, but sadly didn’t. Tokio Hotel walked away with the award… I voted 385 times, and she didn’t win… So I was a bit crushed, anyways yeah. Expect a gallery update in a few days!
